Technical Manager

 
  • The Technical Manager serves the Church with leadership and management to oversee the video, audio, lighting, and data system as they relate to worship & service functionality.

    This position will have oversight of the audio and video applications for the Sunday Services and other onsite ministry events.

    • Support of and belief in the Purpose, Vision, Values, and Belief Statements of CCC.

    • Bachelor of Arts in a technology related field or four years of successful work experience in a related field

    • Working experience with Dante, NDI, ProPresenter, PVP, ProTools, Ableton,Waves Soundgrid, DMX, SMPTE and Midi.

    • Ability to mix a live worship service to the technical specifications provided, with humility and excellence.

    • Ability to oversee the technical elements of a worship service in relationship to audio, video, lighting and other related technologies.

    • Ability to install, problem solve, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network/infrastructure systems, as it relates to the Worship Center.

    • Ability to work as a team member with pastors, staff, and volunteers and vendors.

    • Effectively communicate orally and in writing. Must have excellent project management skills and the ability to work independently while mastering a timeline.

    • Ability to recruit, supervise, train and evaluate volunteers, including students and interns.

  • General Responsibilities: 

    • Regularly attend CCC

    • Work closely with Worship Pastor and staff to help find the best technological solutions to the needs of the Church.

    • Proactively seek to improve and effectively manage the related technology systems and to provide recommendations to the Worship Pastor. 

    • Engage as a contributing team member with pastors, staff volunteers and vendors.

    • Actively recruit, train and supervise volunteers, including students and interns. Provides support to Church Plants as requested and approved by the Worship Pastor.

    • Conduct and participate in training sessions, meetings, and teams as assigned 



    Audio, Lighting & Video Responsibilities: 

    • Provides advice and support in the delivery of video, audio, lighting and data system effects for worship services. Works closely with and at the direction of the designated pastor in charge of worship to ensure the highest level of performance in the delivery of sound (acoustic balance), video delivery and lighting effects for the worship services. Assumes responsibility to independently make immediate adjustments in order to maximize the performance of the musicians and the audible delivery of the speaker. 

    • Responds to emergency call-outs to perform and/or facilitate emergency trouble-shooting of the church’s video, audio and lighting in a timely manner.

    • Communicates orally and in writing with staff, and vendors to obtain and disseminate information, resolve discrepancies, respond to staff concerns, maintain good working relationships in the course of assigned work, and to offer training to users on a variety of equipment 

    • Schedules and/or coordinates equipment service, including preventative maintenance, repairs, installation, and removal of video, audio and lighting equipment.

  • This position involves sitting, walking, standing and driving. The position requires accurate perception of sound, vision, depth perception and manual dexterity to operate computer equipment (video and sound). Persons in this position will exert 25-40 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push or pull objects. Position requires conducting job responsibilities on Sunday through Thursday, during working hours, and Wednesday evenings.  Some additional evenings and special performances will be required, as scheduled.     ● The position of Technology Manager is a twelve-month, salaried position with potential to be full time or part time. Salary and benefits as determined by the current salary schedule of Cascade Community Church. The position is governed by the policies and procedures set forth in the Personnel Handbook for Cascade Community Church. Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with Church policies
