Cascade Kids

God calls the family to play a vital role in discipling the next generation. How this is accomplished varies from family to family. We want to come alongside parents as you disciple your family. Children’s ministry works with you as we provide age-appropriate learning. Like you, we want them to learn from God's Word and seek after a relationship with their Creator and Savior. As children grow older, we dig deeper into the Bible to build a foundation for their relationship with Jesus to grow.

Children are a blessing from the Lord!
— Psalm 127:3

Nursery (Birth - One Year)

We have a wonderful team of volunteers in the nursery to care for your little one while you attend service or class. Please feel free to come into the nursery yourself to care for your child. Additionally, we have a "Baby and Me" room across from our preschool classrooms where you can rock, nurse, or play with your baby while watching the service on a screen.

Early Childhood (2 Yrs - PreK)

While you're attending service, we have a loving and energetic team of volunteers who are teaching your preschooler about God and His word in engaging and memorable ways. We follow a schedule in each room to make every minute count. Your children will practice the month's Bible verse, color, and do a craft that ties into the day's lesson. They will also hear a Bible story, sing songs, and engage in activities, games, and acting that also reinforce the day's lesson. We strive to create the first building blocks for a strong, gospel-centered foundation for the children.

9:30 & 11:15 am services

Elementary ( K - 5th)

In Elementary ministry, we work to continue building up a strong, gospel-centered foundation for your children. We do this by teaching children about the nature and character of God; that He is wise, generous, loving, and good. Our hope is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children by creating environments, curriculum, and resources that center on the gospel of Jesus Christ. On Sundays, we use a Bible-centered curriculum, do creative activities, play games, and develop friendships.

Kindergarten thru 5th grade - 9:30 & 11:15 am services

First Time with Cascade Kids

“How do I check my kids in?”

We're excited to meet you! Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early on your first visit so you have time to settle in. Look for the Cascade Kids Early Childhood and Elementary check-in areas or inquire at the Welcome Center. You will find friendly greeters at each check-in area who will make name tags for your children, direct you to the appropriate rooms(s), and give you literature about the Cascade Kids ministry.

Safety

Your kids are your greatest treasure! With that in mind, we are honored when you entrust them to our care, and we make every attempt to ensure their safety so you can enjoy the service. Here are some of our safety precautions:

  • Routine background checks of all volunteers, ages 16+

  • Adult-to-child ratios designed to meet or exceed state standards

  • "Two volunteers rule" for the safety of both children and adults

  • Hand washing/sanitizing done after bathroom visits, sneezing or coughing, and before any snacks

  • Only females are allowed to change diapers if a parent provides a diaper

  • Volunteers are not allowed to be with a child in a bathroom or bathroom stall with the door closed

  • Supervisory staff are trained in CPR & First Aid

Child Dedications

Child Dedications are a very special time and we love to honor families and their children with this time of commitment. It's all about acknowledging your children as a gift from God, professing your intent to raise your children to know and love Jesus, and also for your church family to commit to doing their part to walk with you as you disciple your kids.

If you'd like to participate in an upcoming Child Dedication please fill out the online request form.
