The Middle School Youth Pastor/Director provides visionary leadership and care to students in the middle school age group, fostering their spiritual growth through dynamic and engaging ministry programs. This role is dedicated to creating an environment where students can deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop a lifelong commitment to Christ. Additionally, the Middle School Youth Pastor/Director will cultivate strong partnerships with parents, equipping and supporting them in their role as spiritual leaders within their families. Outreach programs will be developed and implemented to encourage family involvement and engagement.

Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, or a related field
Three years of youth ministry experience
Strong ability to effectively communicate and teach God’s Word in both large and small group settings
A mature Christian who meets biblical leadership qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-13)
Demonstrated shepherding skills, including coaching, mentoring, and counseling
Proven ability to collaborate with pastors, staff, and volunteers as a team player
Experience in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers, including students and interns

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Model and promote a Christ-centered lifestyle, demonstrating integrity, humility, and compassion.
Fully embrace and advance the vision, mission, and core values of CCC while adhering to established policies and procedures.
Commit to disciple-making by mentoring and developing future leaders through structured programs, internships, and leadership training.
Collaborate effectively with other CCC ministries to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to church-wide initiatives.
Oversee and administer assigned ministries with excellence, ensuring strategic planning and effective execution.
Recruit, train, and lead volunteers to achieve ministry objectives.
Clearly and compellingly communicate ministry goals and initiatives to various audiences.
Provide biblical counseling in accordance with CCC’s guidelines.
Manage the youth ministry budget responsibly, adhering to church financial policies.
Develop an annual work plan that aligns with personal, ministry, and church-wide objectives, including a comprehensive calendar of events.
MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide visionary leadership for the Middle School Ministry, ensuring the development and execution of a comprehensive program that includes midweek meetings, worship, and discipleship initiatives.
Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to serve as mentors and leaders for middle school students.
Create a dynamic and engaging ministry experience that incorporates Bible study, small groups, worship, and interactive activities.
Offer special events and outreach opportunities designed to reach unchurched students and integrate them into the church community.
Plan and oversee winter and summer camp experiences to enhance spiritual growth and community building among middle school students.
Provide thoughtful recommendations to senior leadership regarding improvements and innovations within the student ministry.

This position requires regular availability on Sundays, Wednesday evenings, and during special events and performances. The Middle School Pastor/Director must be available to respond to urgent care needs as they arise.

Reports To: Student Ministries Pastor
Position Type: Full-time, twelve-month salaried position
Compensation: Determined by CCC’s current salary structure
Accountability: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with CCC’s policies as outlined in the Personnel Handbook.
